Written by Ryan Rauzon, which — yes, I see the problem. But I'll be as straight with you as I can, and you can come verify everything in person.

I've been volunteering in Area D schools long enough that most of the front offices recognize me on sight. During my time supporting Ryan Rauzon's campaign for the Torrance Unified School District Board, I also served a term as PTA president, and took on other less glamorous roles that anyone who's done the unglamorous PTA jobs will understand. School Site Council? Absolutely. When our schools need assistance, I’m there. Not in a press-release way, but in a hands-on 'who's setting up the folding tables' way. My experience being married to a teacher has taught me the most important lesson I believe about education: one-size-fits-all simply doesn’t work. Struggling students require genuine support to achieve their goals — real support, not just a slide in a district presentation. Plus, students must grasp the connection between what they're learning today and the skills they'll need for college and careers; otherwise, they disengage. I've seen it firsthand in my kitchen with my boys.
